You are probably aware that POPIA is the talk of the town and, for now at least, even overshadowing a certain virus. It is little wonder, as the implementation of this Act is sure to have a similar effect on the lives of South African's everywhere - albeit in a more positive manner.

As far as we are concerned, we're ecstatic, as we at Albatross Promotions cc t/a Dreyer Linen have always respected your right to the utmost levels of Data privacy. For our part, we are willing to do everything in our power to ensure that your information is protected and in total adherence to all policy requirements.

But what does POPIA have to do with Albatross Promotions cc t/a Dreyer Linen?

Well, we have seen a marked spike in cyber-crimes globally, from attempted hacking to successful Data breaches which leave many innocent parties compromised. We believe that if you are trusting us with your valuable, confidential information, the onus is on us to guard it with our life. As such, we commit to fulfilling all policies, structures, and processes so that you never have to worry about your information again. Our team of experts consist of some of the greatest minds in the country who have mastered the art of Cyber Security. Based on this, we believe that you are in the safest hands around.

We are getting in touch not just to tell you what we think, but also where we stand in relation to the new regulations:

  • Dreyer customers are required under POPIA to have an agreement in place with Dreyer where Dreyer acts as a Service Provider.
  • Dreyer, however, operates in a regulated environment under a multiplicity of laws which must be considered.
  • Dreyer has therefore drafted a Data Processor Addendum that addresses both Dreyer and its customer's rights and obligations under all the applicable laws, which can be viewed at www.dreyerlinen.co.za

In a nutshell, we are here to tell you that with the new Act comes total compliance on our side. We welcome any opportunity to give our customers the protection they deserve and hope that with these new regulations mean goodbye to sleepless nights and hello to a safer, more secure tomorrow.

Should you have any queries, or wish to sign the addendum before returning it to us, you can do so at popiacompliance@dreyerlinen.co.za
